Preparing the Portfolio

What the students need to do:
  1. Compile/compose the portfolio using a word processor. In my class, they actually have multiple Word files to avoid formatting problems across different documents.
  2. Each Word file must be converted to a PDF—every campus computer has a PDF option when printing in Word.
  3. Then all the resulting PDF files must be combined. Adobe Acrobat can do this task. But there are also free applications available on the web that will achieve the same goal (e.g., PDFTK Builder Portable).
  4. Student creates an account at issuu.com, uploads final PDF document, and submits a link to that document to the instructor.
